Description
Fabric composed of 1″- 2″ fiberglass strips. These strips are attached with a glue or “binder” that is soluble in styrene. This glue is designed to dissolve as soon as it bonds with the styrene in polyester or vinylester resins. Once dissolved, the fabric softens and can be easily manipulated around bends and folds. For this reason, it is recommended to use only polyester and/or vinyl ester resins. Although epoxy resins work well, keep in mind that the glue that holds the strips together will not dissolve completely and will not achieve perfect resin infusion.
